Halloween is over so that must mean it’s time for the holidays, right? I know, it’s early for me, too, but with all of these yummy ribbons from Lovebug Creations sitting on my craft table, I couldn’t help but dream up a project for Christmas! For this project I used 3 different ribbons from Lovebug Creations; Mama’s Mesh, the brand new Simply Sheer and Rumple Ribbon!

First, I created a stocking pattern, which I’m giving away for FREE so you can make your own. The pattern can be used to create a home décor item or it can be reduced and to make tags for presents or even a bunting.  To begin, I used a sheet of vintage music, (don’t I always?) and cut it out in the shape of a curvy stocking.

Next, I used some Caran d’Ache Neocolor II Artists’ Crayons to add some color.

These are really great and versatile because you can use them like pastels, but when you add water they turn into gorgeous water-soluble pigment that is just incredible.

Next, I turned down the cuff and added a couple rows of Lovebug Creations White Mama’s Mesh from the recently released Merry Mesh collection. This Mama’s Mesh product is perfect for your holiday crafting because not only does it have Traditional Red, Green, and White colors, but it also has Vintage Red, Green and White colors. Next, I attached a ruffle of Lovebug Creations Simply White Rumple Ribbon with my glue gun. Then, I added a row of cotton lace and a row of silver sparkle.

Next, I attached a couple cute bows made from “Rosebud” Rumple Ribbon, a spray of silver glittered berries, and a couple of white-flocked holly leaves.

I finished it off with a loop made from another brand new product from Lovebug Creations, Simply Sheer Ribbon, in White from the Christmas Candy Collection and this decoration is ready to hang!
